Optometrist
Dr. Tung Tran grew up in New Orleans, Louisiana, surrounded by a blend of Southern cultures and his Vietnamese heritage. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences from Louisiana State University and his Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of the Incarnate Word Rosenberg School of Optometry.
After struggling to see the board at school, Dr. Tran’s first eye exam showed him how much clear vision could change daily life. Later, seeing his grandparents experience vision loss from eye conditions strengthened his interest in optometry.
Dr. Tran speaks English, Vietnamese, and some Spanish. Outside of work, he enjoys traveling, exploring Houston’s food scene, and cooking for family and friends.
