To help your eye heal properly, you'll need a few simple items: a clear eye shield, some special tape, sunglasses for protection, and lubricating eye drops. We offer a handy $10 kit at our office with everything except the eye drops, which you can get from us or any drugstore. If you prefer, you can also find these items at medical supply stores.

You don't need to fast, just eat a normal breakfast, but avoid caffeinated beverages that might increase anxiety. Don't wear makeup on the day of surgery.
